“Land Seen from the Sea” (2012), Villa Croce, Museum of Contemporary Art, Genoa, a group exhibition curated by Little Constellation.  My intervention responded to the historic links between Gibraltar and the city republic of Genoa and its Maritime empire which in the 18th century supplied emigrants and had maritime trade links with Gibraltar.

The work also responded to the title of the exhibition and to the Villa Croce which has a spectacular view to the sea.  Live Radio transmissions from Gibraltar Radio 91.3 FM could be listened to on headphones by one of the large, previously shuttered, windows of the upper floor of the Villa Croce Museum creating a place to place audio connection and from the view from the Villa out to the sea.

The window shutters of the upper floor of the museum which were kept closed were opened for this location specific intervention as can be seen in the documentation.
